On October 16, Zhiyuan Jingling G2 was officially released. Positioned as an industrial-grade interactive embodied work product, it features high-performance motion joints, high-precision torque sensors, and multimodal voice interaction capabilities. It can be applied in scenarios such as industrial handling, precision operations, logistics sorting, and commercial guidance.

Notably, before its official release, the Jingling G2 had already secured orders worth hundreds of millions of yuan and commenced delivery to its first batch of commercial users.

The G2 is equipped with high-performance joint actuators, various types of sensors, and a high-performance AI computing platform, enabling omnidirectional obstacle avoidance across all scenarios and high-precision force-controlled operations.

Its waist features three degrees of freedom, allowing bending, twisting, and lateral swinging movements similar to those of humans. It is also configured with the world's first cross-wrist force-control arm, with the entire arm equipped with high-precision joint torque sensors.

Regarding battery life, the Jingling G2 can autonomously return to charging stations for recharging and supports hot-swappable dual batteries, meeting the 24-hour production line cycle requirements of factories.

Furthermore, based on Zhiyuan’s fully self-developed general foundation large model GO-1 and world model GE-1, the G2 has achieved comprehensive improvements in its ability to handle complex and long-horizon tasks.

After the launch livestream, Yao Maoqing, Partner, Senior Vice President, and President of the Embodied Business Division at Zhiyuan Robotics, gave interviews to 42 Hertz and other media outlets, answering questions about the Genie G2, the development of the robotics industry, and more (edited):

  • Whether it is Zhiyuan's Genie G2 or Figure 03 overseas, deployment in scenarios such as homes and industry has become a consensus. Therefore, competition is actually a good thing; it indicates that the market and technology have reached a certain stage of maturity, allowing them to influence the user market. This will enable faster popularization and promotion, leading to quicker convergence and improvement in both technology and product definition.

  • Zhiyuan is not a purely opportunistic entity during its exploration of commercialization. It does not simply start working with any customer who walks in. Instead, it deeply evaluates the value of the scenario and the degree of technological match and maturity.

  • The overseas market is highly valued by Zhiyuan. The company aims for overseas revenue to account for 30% or more of its total revenue.

  • True machine data accounts for over 90% of the data used by Zhiyuan Robotics.

  • For robot forms to converge quickly, they must be applied and deployed in real-world scenarios. Otherwise, discussions of convergence remain mere castles in the air if confined to laboratories. Only on actual production lines can configurations, hardware, and other issues be adjusted promptly according to circumstances.

  • The product positioning of the Genie G2 and Expedition A2 does not conflict. It depends on customer needs: those prioritizing anthropomorphism will choose the bipedal Expedition A2, while those valuing stability and operational speed will choose the wheeled Genie G2.
