Zhiyuan's 5,000th Robot Mass-Produced; Unitree Launches App Store; Horizon Robotics Releases Two Embodied AI Open Models | Wave Weekly Report

1. The 5,000th general-purpose embodied robot from Zhiyuan has been mass-produced and rolled off the production line.

On 12 month 8 day, at Zhiyuan's mass production factory, Zhiyuan co-founder, President, and CTO Peng Zhihui announced: The 5,000th general-purpose embodied robot, Lingxi X2, has officially rolled off the production line.

Among Zhiyuan's three major product series' cumulative mass production data, the Expedition A1/A2 has produced 1,742 units, the Lingxi X1/X2 has produced 1,846 units, and the Spirit G1/G2 has produced 1,412 units.

Among them, the 5,000th unit of the Lingxi X2 robot was personally delivered by Peng Zhihui to Huang Xiaoming, who will install it in his personal studio to explore innovative applications of humanoid robots in the entertainment industry.

Peng Zhihui emphasized on site that the production of the 5,000th robot means that Zhiyuan's large-scale manufacturing system has been preliminarily verified. "We can more confidently plan the capacity blueprint for next year's 10000 units and future 100000 units."

It is worth mentioning that in this year's 1 month, Zhiyuan Robot's 1,000th general-purpose embodied robot officially rolled off the production line. At that time, the number of bipedal humanoid robots Expedition A2/Lingxi X1 was 731 units, and the number of wheeled general-purpose robots Expedition A2-/A2-W was 269 units.

After 11 months of development, the number of mass-produced robots manufactured by Zhiyuan has risen from 1,000 units to 5,000 units.

2. Unitree Robotics Launches Humanoid Robot 'App Store'

On 12 month 13 day, Unitree Robotics launched the humanoid robot "App Store," a global functional sharing center designed specifically for robots, divided into four core modules: User Plaza, Motion Library, Dataset, and Developer Center.

In this platform, users can upload and share trained models for dance, martial arts, and chores with one click, or download motion models developed by other developers to deploy on Unitree robots.

Additionally, the platform aggregates datasets collected by real robots. Users can upload data or download shared datasets from others for algorithm training and optimization.

This means the barrier to robot development is lowered, allowing users to save time on repetitive development through the platform. In the era of robots, an open developer ecosystem is gradually becoming a trend. Previously, Zhiyuan Robotics launched the "Lingchuang" platform, which allows users to achieve the transformation from human performance to robot replication simply by uploading a video of human movement, without needing programming skills.

3. Horizon Robotics Releases Two Open-Source Embodied AI Models

On 12 month 8 day, at the 2025 Horizon Technology Ecosystem Conference, Horizon Robotics Founder and CEO Yu Kai officially released two open-source embodied AI models: HoloMotion, an embodied AI cerebellum foundation model, and HoloBrain, an embodied AI brain foundation model.

HoloMotion, the embodied AI cerebellum foundation model, focuses on motion intelligence, aiming to enable robots to "learn to move like humans." A single model can support complex motion control across multiple terrains.

Yu Kai explained that HoloMotion is a base capable of executing arbitrary actions and responding to any commands or terrain conditions using a single strategy. It runs Transformer and MOE architectures on地瓜 (Digua) robot computing platforms S100 and S600, achieving high-frame-rate operation up to 50 Hz.

HoloBrain, the embodied AI brain foundation model, aims to endow robots with human-like spatial perception and delicate manipulation capabilities. It can understand general instructions and plan action sequences required to complete tasks.

Yu Kai stated that HoloBrain demonstrates dexterous manipulation abilities, including tasks such as tidying desks, folding clothes, and mixing cocktails.

4. Deep Robotics Completes Over 500000000 Yuan Series C Financing Round

On 12 Month 9 Day, Hangzhou Deep Robotics Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Deep Robotics) announced the completion of its Series C financing round exceeding 500000000 yuan.

This Series C financing round for Deep Robotics was jointly led by China Merchants International and China AMC Fund. Strategic investments were made by funds under China Telecom and China Unicom, while follow-on investments came from institutions such as Yunhui Capital, SMIC Juyuan, Zhejiang University Foundation, Shoucheng Holdings, among others. Existing shareholders including Dasen Wealth Management, Qianhai Artery, CCTV Converged Media Fund, Beijing Robot Industry Development Investment Fund, and Huaying Capital continued their support in this round.

In 10 month, Deep Robotics released the industry-grade all-weather humanoid robot DR02. This robot stands 1.75 meters tall, weighs 75 kg, and has 31 degrees of freedom. It features an IP66 protection rating and can operate stably in wide temperature environments ranging from -20℃ to 55℃.

In 4 month, Deep Robotics released the Mountain Cat M20, a wheeled-legged robot designed for complex terrains and hazardous environments. It can autonomously adjust its movement posture to cope with extreme operating conditions such as rugged mountain roads, muddy wetlands, and rubble obstacles.
