On 7 April 14, general-purpose humanoid robot company Piaggio Motion announced the completion of its Pre-IPO financing round, raising nearly 200000000 US dollars and achieving a post-money valuation of 15000000000 yuan. Over the past half year, Piaggio Motion has cumulatively raised 400000000 US dollars in financing.
This also means that the IPO process for ZJDL has begun.
Observing the investors in this financing round reveals a collection of top-tier international investment institutions from around the world. These include: IDG Capital, Lens Technology, GGG Group, Redstone VC, Huashan Capital, and Hefei Binhu Industrial Development Group. Additionally, UAE-based Stone Venture has continuously invested in multiple rounds, providing significant support; existing shareholders such as Oasis Capital, Cornerstone Capital, Nanshan Strategic Emerging Investment, Shangqi Capital, and NIO Capital have all over-subscribed their allocations.
This financing round gathers industrial capital, international capital, and long-term capital from China, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. This represents the capital market's strong confidence in the Embodied AI track, as well as high recognition of ZJDL's technological capabilities, product capabilities, and global strategy.
According to plans, the funds from this round will be primarily used to break through and commercialize brain-body fusion technologies, promote the large-scale deployment of thousands of fully autonomous humanoid robots, and strengthen global market expansion. Meanwhile, ZJDL will further improve its global manufacturing and delivery capabilities, accelerate layout in key markets such as the Middle East, Europe, and other Asian countries, and continue to build an open ecosystem for global developers, accelerating the innovation and industrialization of Embodied AI technologies.
Across the entire Embodied AI industry, most companies are still in their early startup stages. No more than 13 have entered the ranks of billion-dollar unicorn status, and those rushing toward an IPO are as rare as phoenix feathers. - World Model (Understanding and Prediction): This is the key for robots to understand physical common sense. This enables the deduction of "intuitive physics" in virtual environments.
