Unitree H2 Priced at 199,000 RMB; Tesla Optimus V3 to Debut in Q1 Next Year; Songyan Dynamics' New Robot On Sale for 9,998 RMB | Electric Wave Weekly Report

1. Unitree Unveils H2 Bionic Humanoid Robot

On October 20, Unitree Robotics released its new product, the Unitree H2 bionic humanoid robot, priced at 199,000 RMB. Its most prominent feature is a more human-like facial design; Unitree states that the H2 was created to serve everyone safely and friendly.

In terms of basic specifications, the H2 stands approximately 1.8 meters tall and weighs around 70 kg. It features 31 degrees of freedom (DoF), including 6 DoF per leg, 7 DoF per arm, 3 DoF at the waist, and 2 DoF at the head.

For base computing power, the H2 comes standard with an Intel Core i5 (for platform functions) and offers an expandable high-performance computing solution: it is equipped with the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor chip, delivering 2,070 TOPS of computing power, suitable for deploying various Embodied AI large models.

In terms of motion, the H2 is equipped with low-inertia high-speed inner-rotor permanent magnet synchronous motors, offering better response speed and heat dissipation. The maximum joint peak torque for its arm and leg joints are 120 N·m and 360 N·m, respectively. As seen in the video, the H2 performs both ballet and martial arts movements very naturally, which poses a significant challenge for its height of one point eight meters; nevertheless, Unitree's control over the robot's motion remains as stable as ever.

The perception-end H2 is equipped with a large field-of-view bionic binocular camera and an array of microphones and high-power speakers for voice interaction. Additionally, the H2 can support approximately 3 hours of battery life on a full charge, and its battery supports quick detachment.

In terms of products, the H2 is Unitree's fourth humanoid robot released. In 2023 and 2024, Unitree respectively launched the Unitree H1 and Unitree G1. On July 15 this year, Unitree released its third humanoid robot, the Unitree R1. Currently, Unitree has established a product matrix consisting of "humanoid robots (H, G, and R series) + quadruped robots (A, B, and GO series) + motors and other components," covering industrial and consumer markets.

2. Tesla Expected to Launch Optimus V3 in Q1 Next Year

On October 23, during Tesla's Q3 earnings call, Musk stated that Optimus V3 would be launched in the first quarter of next year (around February or March). In terms of design, V3 will appear more realistic. As Musk bluntly put it: "V3 looks more like a person wearing a robot costume; its form and movements are so realistic that people may need to touch it to confirm it is a robot."

Regarding mass production plans, Tesla hopes to begin constructing a production line capable of manufacturing 1 million Optimus robots by the end of next year. However, in March this year, Musk stated at a Tesla all-hands meeting that the company aimed to produce 5,000 Optimus robots this year. But after he mentioned during the Q3 earnings call that V2 could not be mass-produced, the plan to produce 5,000 Optimus robots was also called off.

In terms of hardware, according to insiders cited by LatePost, the lifespan of Optimus's dexterous hands does not exceed two months. The flexible electronic skin accelerates wear when Optimus touches objects, and the tendons driving the fingers are prone to aging and breaking. Musk also stated on the earnings call that creating hands as flexible and capable as human hands is not easy; Optimus's hands and forearms represent a very difficult engineering challenge.

However, Musk indicated that while the hardware for Optimus will be finalized once production begins, there will be continuous iterations. Because many hardware issues can only be discovered as the project progresses, Tesla's approach to Optimus hardware design involves rolling changes.

3. Songyan Dynamics' New Robot "Xiaobumi" Launches at 9,998 RMB

On October 23, Songyan Dynamics launched the Bumi humanoid robot "Xiaobumi" at a price of 9,998 RMB.

"Xiaobumi" is a consumer-grade humanoid robot primarily targeting tech enthusiasts, young programming learners, and family users. Standing 94 cm tall and weighing approximately 12 kg, it features over 21 degrees of freedom. Its design combines approachability with portability; on the movement front, it can dance and run, providing emotional value to users.

In terms of sales performance, official data shows that orders for "Xiaobumi" exceeded 100 units within one hour, and the initial batch of 500 units sold out completely within two days.

Furthermore, shortly after launching "Xiaobumi," Songyan Dynamics announced on October 26 that it had completed a Pre-B financing round of nearly 300 million RMB. The round was led by Fanggu Capital, with follow-on investments from Summit Partners, CRRC Transformation and Upgrading Fund, Juhe Capital, Dongfang Jiafu, CCTV Converged Media Fund, Jiadao Capital, and Kuanqiao Hengsong, among other investment institutions.

4. Zhiyuan Introduces "Lingchuang" Platform for Robot Content Creation

On October 24, Zhiyuan Robotics officially launched the "Lingchuang" platform, a zero-code, zero-threshold content creation platform for robots.

By leveraging this platform, users can achieve end-to-end conversion from human performance to precise robot replication simply by uploading a video of human motion. Furthermore, the "Lingchuang" platform's motion imitation feature not only replicates limb movements but will also enable the imitation and display of fine finger-level actions in the future.

Additionally, the "Voice Performance" feature of the "Lingchuang" platform offers three modes: audio upload, online recording, and speech synthesis. After users upload text or audio content, the feature intelligently recognizes semantics and utilizes multimodal large models to generate robot limb movements and expressions that match the voice content, thereby achieving natural, human-like expression.

In terms of timeline editing, the "Lingchuang" platform provides motion mixing, combination, and storyline arrangement functions. It supports users in arranging robot voice, movement, and expression like video editing, precisely controlling the rhythm of every frame to design smooth, continuous motion combinations for robots.

Finally, in performances involving multiple robots, the "Device Linkage and Group Control Management" feature of the "Lingchuang" platform supports one-click dispatch of multi-device and diverse motion tasks, enabling group choreography and control of multiple robots. This allows different roles to collaboratively perform with distinct movements, voices, and expressions.
