AGIBOT X2 Provides Patient Guidance at Peking University People's Hospital, Logging Over 46,000 Interactions

4 On October 16, AgiBot announced that its smart patient guidance project, developed in collaboration with Ant A-Fu, has been deployed at Peking University People's Hospital. By September 30, the AGIBOT X2 had operated for 66 working days at the outpatient navigation desk, completing a total of 46,686 interactions. This averages to approximately 707 interactions per day, with a single-day peak of 1,420. 3 The AGIBOT X2 is a half-size humanoid robot equipped with mobile interaction and information display capabilities. It communicates with patients through voice and body language, answering questions at the patient information desk such as "Which department should I visit for stomach pain?", "How do I get to the Department of Gastroenterology?", and "Is a particular doctor seeing outpatients today?" 2 The robot integrates with the AI medical assistant within the Ant A-Fu app. Using the multimodal question-answering capabilities of Ant’s medical large language model and connecting to the hospital's private knowledge base, it provides services including department guidance, consultation on procedures for seeking care, explanations of health insurance policies, and navigation to locations within the hospital. 6 During peak outpatient hours, human staff at the patient information desk must simultaneously handle a high volume of inquiries regarding departments, registration, routes, and procedures for seeking care. The AGIBOT X2 takes over these frequent, repetitive basic patient guidance tasks on-site, providing medical information and guidance to patients and visitors.
